Last week, we heard a speaker at the Agudah conference declare that American Jews should follow the lead of charedim in Israel, and not be upset about the war, because it isn’t happening for them.

Only in a community that is totally disconnected from the reality of the war, from the hostages and deaths and injuries and PTSD and collapse of careers and harm to family life, is it socially acceptable to make a light-hearted marketing campaign about the fires of war.
