Wanna Be Our Friend?
Even if you're in America, you can "visit" the museum!
If you’ve visited the Biblical Museum of Natural History, then while I’m sure you had a terrific experience, the problem is that you only got to see a fraction of our exhibits. There just isn’t time for visitors to see all our hundreds of animals and artifacts and learn about them all. I’ve gathered so many extraordinary things from around the world, and visitors don’t even get to see most of them. Virtually nobody notices the creatures that can poke their ribs through venomous sacs on their chests to emerge from their body as venomous spikes, the Noah’s Ark made by a tribe in the Amazon rainforest out of tree sap and featuring unique local wildlife, the skull of a creature that looks like a vicious predator and yet is kosher, and so much more!
But meanwhile, at least you got to visit, which is more than many other people get to do. Especially with how the war has cancelled so many flights and travel plans, and forced the museum to close for a while earlier this year, many people don’t even get to visit the museum at all.
And all this of course also means that it’s been a challenging time financially for the museum. The change in the dollar/shekel rate didn’t help, either.
The good news is that we’ve come up with a way to shecht two birds with one knife, so to speak. We are launching a “Friends of the Museum” initiative, which enables people to learn about all the museum’s amazing content and connect with the museum more strongly, while helping support it through this difficult period.
