After numerous technical problems with the Blogger platform, including many previous subscribers no longer receiving the posts via email, I decided that it was time to move to a new platform. Reader Mattaniah Beezy generously assisted with moving everything over to Substack. If you’re an email subscriber, please let me know if you receive this via email - just respond with “received.”

So far I have only been able to import the old posts alone, and not the comments. If someone has the expertise to move over the comments too, that would be great!

Meanwhile, I’d like to share a picture. My wife and I are extremely proud of our daughter Tikvah who just completed her training as a מפקדת and will be training and teaching new immigrants for their IDF service! (As a reminder, my post on this topic - “Guns, Girls and Gemaras” - can be read at this link.)

Thanks for reading Rationalist Judaism! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.

R' Slifkin, I think you'll find the Substack platform to be easier to manage and also easier on the eyes than your former setup, though I think they may have length limitations you could run up against once in a while.

Kol ha-Kavod to your daughter, I wish her all the best.
