The Lion, The Switch, And The War Draft
When worlds collide
Recently I discovered something fascinating which connects my three “worlds”: the animal world of the Torah, transformations in Jewish intellectual history, and the IDF draft crisis. And this isn’t a matter of how when you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. It’s something that genuinely connects all three and sheds great light on it all. And it enabled me to come up with a great title for a presentation!
At some point I might write about it here. But if you live in South Florida, you can learn about this intriguing nexus at three presentations that I am giving next week (assuming that Iran does not interfere with my travel plans):
Please email Ellen at advancement@bmnh.org.il if you are interested in attending this presentation at one of the three locations, and details will be provided!
(I also plan to visit the US in May and November; if you are interested in arranging a scholar-in-residence program, please be in touch.)

Genius title! Very clever :)
