In recent years the Likud has come to depend on votes from the Religious Zionist community and most of them are not from people who live in Yehuda and Shomron who often vote for Smotrich or Ben Gvir. If this is how they treat one of their core constituencies, and this is definitely coming from the top, it creates a huge opportunity for other parties. Remember the adverts from the last US presidential election: "She cares more about him/her than about you"? How about "He cares more about them (with a large picture of charedim) than about you (picture of a combat soldier, Religious Zionist family etc)
Yes but Religious Zionisim is not leading the delegitimization campaign, even if they are happily going along with it as their voters are all far right and so they don't care about those on the left/centre/soft right. Only the Likud gets soft right and centrist religious zionist voters and they are leading this campaign through control of media like Channel 14 and Yisrael Hayom
It's obviously not legitimate criticism coming from the chareidim but isn't it fair for the chilonim to be upset about dati le'umi people doing sheirut or hesder instead of full army service?
It's understandable, but when you look at the bigger picture, the contribution and sacrifice of datiim is overall equal or even greater due to the much higher proportion of combat troops and other factors.
I, as a religious zionist, mostly agree. But I can see people arguing that it's not a merit based system where the more people who do kravi/milu'im from a sector of the population, the less time that sector has to serve in sadir...
I 100% agree that the dati le'umi community has proven itself over and over again but I'm not sure that is a concrete statistic that should necessarily exempt us from the same service that chiloni boys and especially girls are required to do...

It's not just Likud - it's also Religious Zionism!
