This is a hallmark of fascism: declare that the people who don't agree with you are the enemies of the people. Take an extremely stupid, symbolic action and then respond to any criticism as being traitorous.

The very idea is totally primitive. It further alienates and horrifies supporters of Israel, including this writer. Next - Roman-style gladiator arenas? I am just sick that a Minister of the State of Israel could suggest this.

Unfortunately, it seems likely that these low-IQ religious fundamentalists are the future of Israel, and the world for that matter

I recall taking a tour of the Everglades many years ago, with the rangers leading us on a walk just a few yards from unfenced, gigantic 10-15 foot alligators and telling us it was perfectly safe. It was the dry season, with tens and tens of alligators congregating in the smaller, wetter area of the reserve, and to my surprise the tour literally walked right between and next to them.

I know alligators and crocodiles are not the same thing, but it sounds like a plan to rely on crocodiles to prevent prisoners escapes may very well have the opposite effect.

Here speaks a Florida resident: the alligators have a different attitude to anything in the water. Not recommended to swim (or paddle) in any unfenced water, or for pets, small children to go too close to waters’ edge!

Yes, they did say that it can be more dangerous for small pets and very small children, which the alligators are more likely to see as food, as opposed to adults that are larger than what they typically eat.
