Meanwhile, I just returned to Israel yesterday and came back to the museum to find a large group of elderly Russian evacuees from Kiryat Shmona (pictured below), who have been living in a hotel in Jerusalem for the past four months and have no idea when they can go back home. They were extremely happy to visit the museum (one of them brought a Russian edition of one of my books!). We hosted them for free, which is a wonderful kindness for them, but doesn't help cover our costs!
