"I think that some people overlook the fact that the amazing miracles of the last two weeks were the result of twenty years of very hard work by a lot of people."
Maybe, but I do not recall ever seeing "miracle" defined as "very hard work by a lot of people." I would tend to call that an "achievement" or "accomplishment".
Its a miracle in the sense that all the hard work paid off and worked exactly according to plan.
In other words, because life is so unpredictable and so many things can and do go wrong (as in Oct 7th), when everything goes right (as in Lebanon), its a miracle.
You did well this time Rabbi thanks . Look, you are a little bit famous because of the zoo. I’ll bet you could get in op Ed if not in the Times than a local paper like the Sacramento Bee if the San Francisco Chronicle or a sub stack like Smerconsish . Few have your way with words . At a minimum you could post comments to articles in the Times. Those are read by thousands
Amen v'amen!
"I think that some people overlook the fact that the amazing miracles of the last two weeks were the result of twenty years of very hard work by a lot of people."
So then... not miracles?
אם ה' לא ישמור עיר שווא שקד שומר
ראה דברים פרק ח פסוקים יז-יח ורמב"ן שם
Maybe you need to reconsider your definition for "miracle".
