Reservists and released soldiers taking their own lives is unfortunately very prevalent and very much swept under the rug. We must raise awareness.

You are right, I had not heard about the horrors of which you write. Pained and yet grateful that you informed us.

I think need to co time focus on the horrors you so well describe. Need to raise Jewish awareness of the charedi treachery against Israel and Israelis and Judaism. They are our enemy .unfortunately democracy doesn’t work in Israel with one person one vote.

Do we think that Bennett has both the desire and the will to crack down on settler violence and reverse the illiberal trends put into place by Netanyahu. 10 years ago he seemed indistinguishable from Smotrich...

My parents were married in that shul. It is absolutely stunning. But it belongs to a bygone age and its community has been shrinking for many years. It attracts only a small number of people on a regular basis these days. The centre of gravity today is undoubtedly in Israel and unfortunately it comes with all its challenges, including between Jews. But as Dr Weizmann would tell you if he was alive today, we have often been our own worst enemies, especially since the birth of Zionism, and many of his biggest opponents came from among our own people. The divisions of his day remain till today and the groups remain the same.
