Add to this Yinon Magel's comments after 2 Iranian missiles destroyed years of research and several buildings at the Weizmann Institute.

He said (my translation) "OK, so the score is Hakadosh Baruch Hu 1, Machon Weizmann 0"

אז הקב”ה 1

מכון וייצמן 0😉

At the time, I didn't know who he was nor understand where he was coming from. But now I get it; for him, what he considers left wing academia is a greater enemy than Iran.

Yep, I should have mentioned that. Unbelievable.

Many such cases.

There is somewhat of a difference between Tucker Carlson and Yinon Magel. Carlson is a huge media figure who identifies with the right but really just loves dictators and authoritarians of either extreme (who inevitably all hate the Jews). If Qatar or anyone else is willing to pay him for this, why not as far as he is concerned? But he sticks to these views even if puts him at odds with his president who has publicly called him out for it.

Contrast this with moral cowards like Magel. Media figures on the right have learned that if they never criticise the PM and make the arguments that support his political needs of the day, they will eventually be rewarded with jobs (see Caroline Glick and others). It doesn't matter if one day they have to argue that the world is round and the next day that the world is flat, they will happily do it and totally fail to see the contradiction. There is a word for people like that which I won't use here, suffice to say that Yehuda uses it in this week's parsha when referring to the woman who he didn't know was Tamar. When Magel is prepared to get into a public spat with Bibi as Carlson did with Trump then the two can be compared.

> "But many people are unable to hold such a nuanced position. For them, anything that the government does to stay in power must be presented as innately good, and one sometimes gets the impression that they have even convinced themselves of it".

I think your first sentence is the overall primary factor here: People struggle with holding nuanced positions. And Bibi is a consummate politician, as such, he can't use nuance, as nuance doesn't work well in politics, unfortunately

It is not a black and white world.Israel is a deeply divided nation. When Naftali Bennet became prime minister,as ostensibly a right wing religious Zionist zealot,he compromised any integrity that he ever had.Today he is a hero with high approval ratings for his capitulation to Arabs and leftists by starving yeshivos and funding arab radicals.

Politics in Israel was born of leftist extremists and Zionist extremists in different degrees as bedfellows to guide the country through economic leftist miasma. Also,a few right wing Zionist pioneers and anti-statist chareidim, many who did not recognize the state or vote. They now mostly vote and are desperately needed for a stable coalition,as well as financially.Coupled with Sephardic resentment of anti religious radical secularists,Begin won their trust.

The left,as in most western governments are drifting into deep cultural Marxism, which destroys long standing values that the Religious deplore. The left needs any votes, including Russian gentiles, many calling themselves Jews to fit in or married to Jews as Lieberman proves.

The leftist Supreme Court and others appointed fight to the death to maintain control. With

hundreds of thousands protesting to keep the status quo, funded by leftist billionaires and NGO’s,they are difficult to stop.

Ehud Barak,a former prime minister and defense minister and financier for Mossad in league with Adnan Koshoggi and Epstein for years, was hell bent to give Arafat almost all of what was asked.Ehud Olmert also failed as the Palestinians rebelled at no longer being able to contest territory,as control of Jerusalem. If taken the Arabs would war regularly as is shown today.

The secularist dominance and disdain of Judaism will not allow political unity. When the threshold of voting percent is higher,it helps the right as the far left is consolidated into the quasi soft Zionist coalition,

whose purpose is demonizing both the religious and Likud.

This nation state is in effect middah knegged middah conflict.Unity is impossible.Even if the chareidim capitulate somewhat, the animosity is continuous.People that are Jewish in name only, even in Israel, are doomed like their Hellenistic forebears.

The Torah would not repeat the dictum of,”anochi Adonai Eloh-

hecha ail qanah poqaid avon

avos al banim al shilaishim v’al

rebaiim l’sonai”,unless it was to be fulfilled.
