I moved to Israel, a recent convert, a little over 40 years ago with the intention of going and “sitting and learning” until I could live my life as a normative orthodox Jew. Made Aliyah, but economic reality intervened. I now live back in the USA.
I once admired the Yeshiva world and its teachers because I was taught they were worthy. I heard so many examples…exceptions to ideal behavior were, of course, ignored or rationalized.
The curtain is gone, the Wirzardsere humanity and weakness revealed. Now I consider the Charedim (and their political supporters) leeches who live on the blood of Israeli soldiers.
Charedim say God will save them. They won’t admit they’re actually saved (for now)’by the sacrifice of Israeli soldiers and their families. They hide behind their lies, denial, justifications, and, ultimately their own warped understanding of what they claim is “Torah.”
And Israeli politicians are letting them get away with it.
I’m disgusted. And it’s only going to get worse….in Israel and here, in Frumerica.

I don’t know Rabbi Slifkin, here in the US, a LOT of people believe wrestling is “real”….
